The Bureau of Land Management, within the Department of the Interior has announced funding in the amount of $18,000 to support the BLM WY Whoop-up Petroglyph Ash Damage Assessment.
The severity of fire deposited ash on petroglyph panels will be examined by microscopic inspection of rock surface samples in order to determine which petroglyph panels require the most urgent treatment.
