CDFI Awards for Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority


NACA (2006) - $60,800

Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority is the sponsoring entity of a CDFI loan fund. The proposed loan fund will offer financial literacy training, first-time savings progarams, micro-enterprise loans, and down payment assistance. Northern Circle will use a NACA TA grant of $60,800 to: 1) review organizational documents; 2) provide staff/board member training; and 3) pay for staff salary, rent, and travel costs.



NACD (2004) - $67,340

The Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority (Northern Circle), located in Ukiah, California, has been awarded a $67,340 Native American CDFI Development grant to support its formation of a CDFI: the United Native Housing Development Corporation (UNHDC), which will become a local housing loan fund and will serve ten tribes that encompass five rural county regions. The primary purpose of UNHDC will be to provide quality housing to Native Americans in Northern California.
