The Lumbee Revitalization and Community Development Corporation (LRDCD) is an emerging Native CDFI established in 2002. LRCDC provides housing rehabilitation, down payment and business loans to Lumbee Tribal Members and other Native Americans residing in Robeson County, North Carolina. LRCDC also provides development services consisting of instruction in financial literacy, homeowners counseling and a small business development course.

NACA (2009) - $142,174

The Lumbee Revitalization and Community Development Corporation, Inc. is a certified CDFI established in 2002. The CDFI provides small business loans and housing rehabilitation loans to 46,000 members of the Lumbee Tribe who live in Robeson County, North Carolina. Lumbee Revitalization CDC will use its FY 2009 NACA Technical Assistance award for: 1) board and staff training; 2) development of their loan collection systems; 3) undertaking a market study; and 4) providing ongoing management support.



NACA (2007) - $140,563

Lumbee Revitalization & Community Development Corporation (Lumbee CDC) is a certified CDFI established in 2004. Lumbee CDC provides rehab loans to Native Americans residing in Robeson County, North Carolina. Lumbee CDC will use the 2007 NACA Technical Assistance grant to: 1) pay for staff salary; 2) receive advanced underwriting training; 3) attend a national conference on CDFI development; 4) hire a consultant to evaluate financial products and services; and 5) pay for general office expenses and a new laptop computer.



NACA (2005) - $132,000

LRCDC will use a 2005 Native American CDFI Assistance (NACA) Program technical assistance grant of $132,000 to: (1) hire consultants to review, update and write policies and procedures, develop a loan and policy manual, create a development services workbook and develop a five-year strategic plan; (2) purchase and install accounting and loan management hardware and software; (3) obtain training for staff and board members regarding loan underwriting, portfolio management and policy development; and (4) support operations.
