The Ceiba Housing and Economic Development Corporation is a certified CDFI in operation since 1986. The Ceiba Housing and Economic Development Corporation provides affordable housing and economic development products and services in the eastern region of Puerto Rico. The CDFI will use its FY2009 Financial Assistance award for lending capital and operational expenses.

The Ceiba Housing and Economic Development Corporation was established in 1986. It provides financial services and counseling for housing and economic development to a Low-Income Targeted Population in and around Ciaba, Puerto Rico. Ceiba will use its FY08 Technical Assistance grant to: (1) hire a new economic development director, (2) improve management controls and policies, and (3) conduct a market analysis study.

Department of Agriculture: Value Added Producer Grants
The Value-Added Producer Grants program is geared towards helping the Independent Producers of Agricultural Commodities, Agriculture Producer Groups, Farmer and Rancher Cooperatives, and Majority-Controlled Producer-Based Business Ventures in developing techniques that would create marketing opportunities and establish business plans involving viable marketing opportunities that involve the production of bio-based products from agricultural commodities.
