CDFI Awards for Southeast Community Capital Corporation


FA (2009) - $2,000,000

Southeast Community Capital Corporation is a certified CDFI established in 1999. It provides loans to small businesses lacking access to traditional financing, with an emphasis to provide services to low-and-moderate income entrepreneurs in communities throughout Tennessee. Southeast Community Capital Corporation will use its FY2009 Financial Assistance award to increase lending in its target market.



FA (2006) - $300,000

Southeast Community Capital Corporation (SCCC) is a certified CDFI established in 1999. SCCC provides a variety of financing structures to businesses in rural and urban areas of Tennessee, including traditional lines of credit, accounts receivable lines of credit, purchase order financing, equipment financing, working capital, inventory loans, real estate loans, and bridge financing. The 2006 Financial Assistance Award of $204,000 will enable SCCC to grow and expand its purchase order financing activities. SCCC will use the 2006 Technical Assistance Award of $96,000 to: (1) hire a loan manager for its purchase order-financing program; (2) upgrade its computer network systems and purchase new computer hardware; (3) upgrade its loan management software and automate its loan documentation; and (4) develop a marketing plan.



FA (2003) - $100,000

The Fund"s $100,000 award will be used to enhance its Women and Minority Contractors Assistance Program for small and disadvantaged businesses as it expands throughout the state of Tennessee. The program provides financing to small, minority, and/or women contractors located in Hot Zones so that they may compete fully in the local construction industry. Approximately 98% of this award will be targeted to Hot Zones.



CORE (2002) - $750,000

The Fund"s $750,000 grant will help the Awardee to expand its lending efforts into more communities in Tennessee.
