Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), this project targets the most vulnerable children (MVC) and young people, orphaned and made vulnerable by HIV and other adversities; also known as, orphans and vulnerable children (OVC)...Under this project, USAID seeks to enable more MVC and other young people to access services for improving health, nutrition, education, protection, livelihoods and psychosocial well-being.

In order to achieve this purpose, the project will build the capacity of caregivers to provide care and access to services for their children and young people.

In addition, it seeks to improve and expand age-appropriate service utilization for children and young people, especially hard-to-reach children.

This project will support the PEPFAR continuum of care in Tanzania, meaning it will be implemented in regions where USAID and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have located clinical projects; it refer families to HIV services; and it will receive referrals from clinical partners, especially for Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission (PMTCT) and pediatric care and treatment.
