Rock star Jon Bon Jovi is one of the supporters of the New Start New Jersey, a nonprofit organization with a mission: To influence policy to strengthen New Jersey's middle class.

Bon Jovi is renowned not only for his band in his namesake, but for his philanthropic endeavors. He has committed to building affordable housing in Newark and a homeless shelter in Camden, opened Soul Kitchen restaurant in Red Bank, and started a health clinic for the poor in New Jersey among many others.
