OJJDP FY 20 Delinquency Prevention Program

This program will provide grants to eligible states or federally recognized tribes to implement evidence-based strategies to address the unmet needs of at-risk or delinquent youth through a continuum of delinquency prevention programs for juveniles who have had or who are likely to have contact with
the juvenile justice system.

States awarded under this grant program are required to provide subgrants to units of local government to carry out the objectives of this program.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Category 1: State Delinquency Prevention Programs: OJJDP-2020-18192: Only the agency designated by the chief executive (e.g., the governor) of each state that has a properly constituted state advisory group (SAG), as specified in the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA), see 34 U.S.C.

§ 11133(a)(3).

Applicants must be fully eligible; participating in the Title II Formula Grants Program and in compliance with all four core requirements as outlined in Title II, Part B of the JJDPA, see 34 U.S.C.

§ 11133(a)(11), (12), (13), and (15).

Applicants who do not meet this criterion are ineligible to apply under this solicitation.

Category 2: Tribal Delinquency Prevention Programs: OJJDP-2020-18193: Federally recognized Indian tribal governments as determined by the Secretary of the Interior or a consortium of such tribes may apply for funding under this category.
