FY 2020 On-Demand Youth Leadership Program

The Office of Citizen Exchanges, Youth Programs Division, of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) announces an open competition for the FY 2020 On-Demand Youth Leadership Program.

The On-Demand Youth Leadership Program supports U. S. foreign policy goals by empowering the U. S.
Department of State to respond quickly to evolving priorities.

U. S. public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to implement two separate three-week exchanges in the United States.

Applicants may submit only one proposal under this competition.

If multiple proposals are received from the same applicant, all submissions will be declared ineligible and receive no further consideration in the review process.

Proposals should illustrate the organization’s extent of experience working in different regions of the world, demonstrating flexibility and originality in programming.

Proposals should include actual examples in which the organization has responded quickly to fast changing circumstances in a region or country where they had not previously worked.
