2009 National Geological & Geophysical Data Preservation Program

The National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program (NGGDPP) was authorized in Section 351 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-58, Sec.

351).

The objectives of the Program as outlined in the Act are to:

1) Archive geologic, geophysical, and engineering

credit:


data, maps, well logs, and samples;

(2) Provide a national catalog of such archival material; and (3) Provide technical and financial assistance related to the archival material.
