Emerging Political Leaders

Based on full and open competition, USAID/Guatemala intends to award one five-year Cooperative Agreement for Harnessing Emerging Political Leadership for an Accountable Guatemala (EPL).

USAID/Guatemala is interested in receiving feedback on the attached draft Program Description.

contemplating a 15%-25% cost share requirement.Please provide feedback on any aspects of the Program Description in a MS Word or PDF document that is no more than 5 pages, single-spaced, and typed in 12 point Times New Roman font.

Please also answer the following questions:
1. Is your organization likely to submit an application in response to the final RFA as a prime applicant? 2. What is the best way to engage with youth/youth-led movements from communities outside of Guatemala City? 3. What governmental counterparts could be champions in pushing forward youth-led civic and political participation? 4. What other champions are forward-leaning on youth engagement in civic and political participation (e.g., religious groups, universities?) 5. How does gender inform civic and political participation of youth from different communities across the country? 6. How would your organization develop a balance between supporting traditionally under-served groups of youth in comparison to those that have had more advantages? All responses should be submitted to guatemalaproposals@usaid.gov by 9:00 a.m.
