Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program (DDETFP) Grants for Research Fellowship (GRF)

The DDETFP provides funding for students to pursue advanced degrees in transportation-related disciplines to enhance the breadth and scope of knowledge of the entire transportation community in the United States.

The program objectives are:
1) to attract the Nation's brightest minds to

the field of transportation; 2) to enhance the careers of transportation professionals by encouraging them to seek advanced degrees; and 3) to retain top talent in the transportation industry of the United States.

The DDETFP GRF is intended to acquaint graduate students with transportation research, development, and technology transfer activities at U. S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) facilities.

The fellowship is structured to provide opportunities with USDOT Program Offices which are interested in attracting workforce ready students.

The proposed projects that are available for student applications are listed in Attachment 1 DDETFP GRF Assignment Announcement.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Applicants of the DDETFP Graduate Fellowship must: possess a baccalaureate degree from, or be a confirmed graduating undergraduate senior at, an accredited Institution of Higher Education (IHE) within the United States or its Territories; demonstrate confirmation of acceptance in a graduate degree program at an accredited IHE in the United States or its Territories; be enrolled in an accredited IHE within the United States or its Territories; be pursuing a graduate degree in a full-time program in a transportation-related discipline identified in the Assignment Announcement; have at least one full academic year remaining in program of study; conduct ongoing research in one or more transportation-related disciplines; and plan to enter the transportation profession after completing their higher-level education.
