Annual Program Statement (APS) for Colombia’s Ethnic Communities “Strengthening Ethnic Communities for Inclusive Peace”

The goal of this APS is for ethnic communities to advance inclusive peace,self-governance, and socio-economic development.

To achieve that goal, USAID will work directly with prospective organizations in the following areas:
1. Strengthened capacity of ethnic organizations and traditional

credit: sheknows


authorities to govern their territories, advocate for their rights/interests, and implement post-conflict initiatives; 2. Strengthened self and collective protection initiatives; 3. Improved conditions for inclusive rural economic growth; and 4. Strengthened natural resource management of Afro-Colombian and indigenous territories.
