Cameroon has agreed to implement the 2015 WHO guidelines on Test and Start as a strategy to reach the UNAIDS 90-90-90 goals.
Key decisions have been taken at policy level to enhance uptake of services and monitoring of patients to reach this goal.

to provide NACC with the required capacity to lead the national response including to:
1) Build the capacity of the newly upgraded ART sites, 2) Improve knowledge and reduce risky behaviors associated with the transmission of HIV and STIs amongst adolescent girls and young women.
3) Strengthen laboratory policies and infrastructure to support capacity building for laboratory testing and monitoring across the health system, 4) Develop a national quality management improvement policy for Cameroon, 5) Strengthen NACC’s capacity to generate quality strategic information for decision making, 6) Reinforce infection control, diagnosis and case management of TB/HIV coinfection in TB and HIV clinics, 7) Improve Option B+ coverage and quality of services within the national PMTCT/ART program, 8) Reinforce NACC’s capacity to effectively implement the three OnesThe expected outcome is an improved capacity at national, regional, district and facility level capacity to provide an effective response to HIV in Cameroon, to reach epidemic control and reduce the disease burden.
