Prineville Reservoir Recreation Operations & Maintenance

The Prineville Reservoir Resource Management Plan was completed in August 2003 and projected needs for the next 25 years which includes American Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility improvements.

The OPRD has historically maintained and enhance the functional use and longevity of the facilities

and equipment, continues to meet public safety needs and standards, provide appropriate public recreational uses such as:
hiking trails, water use, camping, and fishing, and has increased the ADA improvements for public benefit.

The OPRD will continue to meet the ADA compliant outdoor recreation facilities improvements for the Prineville Reservoir to include developing, constructing, and successfully providing access to the outdoor recreation to benefit the public.

The OPRD will under the guidance of the Resource Management Plan [lease agreement No.

10-07-10-L1766 between Reclamation and OPRD] will incorporate how the Prineville Reservoir will be managed and maintained by OPRD, and the type of outdoor recreation facilities to be complete for ADA improvements for the public.

OPRD will continue to complete ADA compliant outdoor recreation facilities for public use at the Reservoir by constructing three ADA capital improvement projects:
(1) An ADA compliant cabin, (2) A vehicle/boat trailer parking at Jasper Point Recreation Area, and (3) An approved trail will be constructed at the main Prineville Reservoir State Park Day Use Area.

The OPRD will use their staff and private contractors that are knowledgeable in ADA compliant improvements.
