The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to provide technical assistance for the integration of international standards such as the International Organization for Standardization document "ISO 15189:2003:
Standard for medical laboratories" and quality management system (QMS) standards into national public health laboratory networks globally, therefore enhancing the ability of these laboratories to provide reliable, accurate and timely data to support the surveillance of Extremely Dangerous Pathogens (EDPs).
