Efficient and effective laboratory systems remain essential for the prevention, detection, and treatment of HIV, TB, and other HIV-related diseases and conditions.

Historically siloed by function and funding, recent outbreaks and pandemics, coupled with advances in multi-pathogen diagnostic platforms, have highlighted the importance of accurate and responsive laboratory systems and diagnostic networks to support country needs for sustained HIV and TB control along with pandemic preparedness.

This NOFO will focus on partnerships and capacity building for the timely evaluation, validation, and implementation of novel in-house and commercial diagnostics and testing algorithms; expansion of regional, national, and sub-national programs for laboratory systems capacity; and continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs and tools for point of care (POC) testing sites, laboratories, clinic-laboratory interface, and multi-disease public health diagnostic networks.
