Accelerating the Implementation of Health Policy and Strategies for HIV/AIDS Treatment Services through the President's Office - Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) in the United Republic of Tanzania under PEPFAR

This NOFO will support implementation of US Government (USG) Tanzania’s PEPFAR activities through the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO–RALG).

PO–RALG’s mandate is the interpretation, operationalization, implementation, monitoring

and evaluation of HIV policies, guidelines and strategies at the regional, council, facility and community level.

PO–RALG provides support, guidance, coordination, and follow-up on the provision of health services and sector development with Regional Secretariats (RSs) and Local Government Authorities (LGAs).

This announcement aims to establish and promote local leadership and ownership in overseeing evidence-based interventions and focused expansion of quality HIV/AIDS services in the United Republic of Tanzania (URT) to attain HIV epidemic control.

Oversight and coordination are critical areas of focus that require key stakeholders to discuss critical steps and agree on adaptation of new HIV policies which will lead to HIV epidemic control.

This announcement seeks to engage with PO–RALG in providing continued technical and programmatic oversight to ensure regional management teams, district councils, facilities and communities address national priorities and follow the national guidelines and adapted HIV policies for epidemic control.
