Achieving and Maintaining Epidemic Control through Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Treatment Services in the Kinshasa Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $5,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.The goal of this NOFO is to increase population access to comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in order to decrease HIV/AIDS associated

morbidity and mortality and contribute to successful epidemic control in the Kinshasa Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with potential for expansion based on future geographic prioritization.

Activities include continued expansion of existing prevention interventions, including prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV and HIV prevention among key populations (KP); care and treatment (C&T), including TB/HIV and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) services; HIV laboratory and related diagnostic services; and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and quality improvement (QI) activities.

Activities will also involve improvement of family-centered and community-based HIV services, as well as orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) services.

This NOFO will contribute in closing the gap for Ministry of Health (MOH) HIV/AIDS key priorities.

Other outcomes include improved data use for decision-making and policy development.

The program activities will result in achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control in DRC.
