PEPFAR Small Grants Program 2016, U.S. Embassy, Kampala

The Community Grants Program to Combat HIV/AIDS, which is funded by PEPFAR, seeks to assist communities and local Ugandan grassroots organizations with small-scale development projects to provide care and support to key populations (KP), adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), and orphans and vulnerable

Grants are awarded for a one-year period.

The U. S. Mission to Uganda seeks proposals that present creative, original and innovative ideas that provide direct support to the community members infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

The program must also have an evidence-based understanding of the HIV epidemic and the risk of HIV and from HIV in the targeted community.

The President’s Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (PEPFAR) is a U. S. Government-funded global program that provides treatment, prevention and care for people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

The PEPFAR program in Uganda provides treatment, reduces HIV infections, and provides care and support for more than 800,000 individuals.
