Enhance global health security and support International Health Regulations (2005)

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) supports program and activities to enhance global health security and advance International Health Regulations (IHR (2005))implementation and maintenance in Mexico.

The program will strengthen national and regional health security through a collaboration

credit:


with ASPR to sustain and strengthen preparedness, detection, and communication capacities for pandemic influenza and other emerging and reemerging infectious diseases in Mexico focusing on IHR National Focal Point (NFP) and Points of Entry (POE) capacities.

Projects supported through this FOA shall build upon, extend and improve existing infectious disease surveillance and response systems through improvements to laboratory capacity and other public health infrastructure, training programs, public health policy, emergency preparedness plans, communications and coordination.

The programs and Page 4 of 41 activities shall include program monitoring, evaluation and accountability measures with clear descriptions of the expected outcomes.
