FY2017 Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative Fellowship

The U. S. Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Office of Public Diplomacy (EUR/PD) invites proposal submissions for the FY2017 Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative (YTILI) Fellowship program to enhance leadership and business development skills, and build a lasting

and sustainable network of mid-career entrepreneurial professionals, ages 25 – 40, in Europe with American entrepreneurs, investors, and non-governmental organizations.

The FY 2016 YTILI builds on the initial success of the YTILI pilot designed to strengthen the transatlantic relationship, develop sustainable partnerships between young U. S. and European innovators, promote regional integration and cooperation in Europe, and encourage European governments, businesses, and civil society to improve their innovation eco-systems.

The defining YTILI program activity is a two-week U.S.-based tailored fellowship for approximately 50 - 100 European participants (Fellows), including an individualized placement in a professionally relevant U. S. workplace and mentorship from their American peers in those organizations.

The U.S.-based exchange should also provide Fellows opportunities to complement their professional fellowship through skill-building workshops and other trainings and networking activities
