Summary: This project is to conduct small mammal trapping within the range of the Fresno kangaroo rat to 1) provide verification of species presence; 2) document the presence of species with photographs; 3) collect hind foot measurements and other standard morphological measurements (ear, tail, body length); and 4) collect hair and tissue samples.

Under this scope of work, the contractor proposes to perform an inventory of the burrow systems within the range of the subspecies and up to 5 nights of trapping during the appropriate window of 2012, with a draft report submitted to Sacramento Fish and Wildlife Office, before Sept 30, 2012.
