The Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund (CESCF; Traditional Section 6) provides financial assistance to States and Territories to implement conservation projects for listed and at-risk species.
Funded activities include habitat restoration, species status surveys, public education
and outreach, captive propagation and reintroduction, nesting surveys, genetic studies, habitat use assessments, and development of management plans.
This grant program was established by the authority of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) of 1973, as amended.
