Family Self-Sufficiency Program

This NOFA announces the availability of funding of approximately $75 million for salaries of program coordinators for the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD’s) Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program.

Due to the level of funding available, the

credit:

Department will only fund applicants currently administering an FSS program that also meet one of the following criteria:
a.

you were funded under any of the FY 2013, FY 2014, and/or the FY 2015 FSS NOFAs; or b.

you received an FSS program through a transfer or consolidation from a Public Housing Agency (PHA) that was funded under these NOFAs.

See Section V.B.3 "Funding Priority Categories" for more information on the order in which funding will be awarded.

Starting in FY2014, funding for FSS coordinators that serve Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) participants and/or Public Housing (PH) participants is made available under one NOFA; there are no longer two separate NOFAs for the HCV FSS program and the PH FSS program.

This means that if you submitted two separate applications in previous years, (one for HCV FSS and one for PH FSS) you will only submit one application under this NOFA.

As stated in the General Section, applicants that fail to submit their application through Grants.gov for whatever reason, including failure to update their DUNS, SAM or Grants.gov registration or Authorized Organizational Representatives (AORs) will not be considered for funding.
