National Center on Program Management and Fiscal Operations

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start (OHS) announces the availability of $4,000,000 to be competitively awarded for a National Center on Program Design, Management and Fiscal Operations (the Center).

The goals of the Center are to provide a vehicle for the

dissemination of a clear, consistent message from OHS about its priorities for identification and mitigation of risks through the development and implementation of sound management systems and strong internal controls.

The Center will showcase evidence-based practices in program and fiscal planning that ensure all Head Start organizations have access to the same level of high-quality training and technical assistance in order to produce the best possible outcomes for children.

The Center's work will include, but not be limited to, topics such as risk management, internals controls, governance, data collection and analysis, budgeting and cost allocation.

The Center will also assist organizations to implement and enhance the infrastructure necessary to support a well managed system of early care and education.
