The Network of International Corrections Experts (NICE) Program will assist foreign corrections partners increase their capacity to operate prisons that are safe, secure, humane, and transparent by identifying current and former U. S. corrections officials with specific, relevant technical expertise

to mentor, advise, train, and deliver technical assistance to foreign corrections partners for overseas deployments.

Expertise is needed in areas including, but not limited to:
community corrections/probation and parole/alternatives to incarceration; electronic monitoring; managing juveniles; security operations; emergency management and response; classification; delivering corrections training programs, such as basic and executive management training; prison design and construction; prison industries; prison intelligence; prisoner transport; corrections in a high threat environment; managing and programming in female corrections facilities; and inmate mental and physical health care.
