The purpose of the proposed program is to accomplish natural resource management projects, while exposing interns to opportunities on the BLM managed lands.

Also as noted above it will promote the development of an educated and hands-on experienced workforce to manage public lands, increase the

number of interns with scientific knowledge to conduct education, research, and resource management projects on public lands.
