BLM CA - Statewide Youth Conservation Interns throughout California Public Lands
Intern(s) (individuals) will assist with data collection for:
restoration activities; trail construction and maintenance; campground maintenance; invasive weed removal; wildlife and fisheries habitat restoration; fuels reduction; seed collection; sediment and erosion control; user education and outreach;
water developments; fence and barrier installations; removal of range fence; route signing; route closure and restoration; inventory of plants and wildlife; cultural site recordation, and stabilization and rehabilitation of areas damaged by wildland fires.
Projects on public lands will require physically strenuous work.

Chapter 37, Subchapter II Sec 1721-1729, excluding Section 1725 â¿¿ Resource AssistantThis legislation authorizes the Department of the Interior to enter into contracts and cooperative agreements with any qualified youth organization or conservation corps to carry out appropriate conservation projects on public lands, Indian lands, and Hawaiian homelands.
