Evaluation and Prioritization of Sand and Gravel Resources to Support Coastal Resilience Projects Along Portions of the New Jersey Coast

This cooperative agreement will evaluate identified OCS sand resources and examine forecasted coastal project needs to determine supply timelines, material suitability (compatibility) and deficit supply gaps.

It is a component of the continuing National Offshore Sand Inventory and addressing coastal

credit:


resilience aspects of the Executive Order on the Climate Crisis (Sec.

211 & 214) in mitigating climate change and strengthening resilience by protecting and restoring vulnerable coastlines.

Datasets will be housed in the authoritative Marine Minerals Information System and shared with state resource agencies, federal partners (USACE, USGS, NOAA), and other stakeholders.
