Youth Stabilize & Repair Trails and Vistas of the Appalachian Trail

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS.This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement.

The goal of this project is to address

a portion of the largest documented deferred maintenance along the Appalachian Trail.

The project will stabilize unsafe, washed out sections of the Appalachian Trail in in Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and restore the trail treadway to a safe and sustainable alignment.

This project will also restore four priority scenic vistas in North Carolina and Tennessee, to provide visitors with safe and enjoyable scenic and recreational opportunities.
