Visual Information and Outreach Youth Interns

This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement.Master Cooperative Agreement Number P15AC00031

was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS), and The Student Conservation Association (SCA) to build the next generation of conservation leaders and inspire lifelong stewardship of our environment and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land through service opportunities, outdoor skills, and leadership training.The Interns will assist park rangers and volunteers in providing youth programs through formal and informal interpretation.

He/She will conduct outreach to diverse communities surrounding the park for the purpose of program marketing and reaching new audiences.

The intern will research background on programming at the 23 branches of the YMCA’s of Greater New York and identify branches located in proximity to NPNH sites.

The intern will develop program options for the partnership with the YMCA’s and with the Coast Guard community.

He/She will develop and deliver a variety of programs that appeal to young audiences and use photography and social media to share program highlights.

The Intern will maintain and update the NPNH Content Management System and assist with graphic design, photography and video for assigned projects using the Adobe Creative Suite of applications in support of the various park sites.

The interns will be expected to work in a team environment sharing knowledge and experience in a collaborative setting to plan and complete work.
