Upgrading Museum Storage for Archeological Collections at the Southeast Archeological Center: A Museum Internship Program

This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to award a non-competitive Task Agreement under the Gulf Coast, Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Master Cooperative Agreement (P12AC51051) in accordance with Department of Interior, 505 Departmental Manual 2. 12C.

The purpose of this project is to serve

as the primary repository for archeological collections from park units in the NPS Southeast Region.

The Center is charged with managing over 9 million artifacts and over 700,000 archival documents from more than 50 park units in the region.

It is the responsibility of the Center museum staff to maintain accountability, provide preservation and protection, and manage research access to these collections for the region’s parks.

Co-founders William Mann and David Mravyan devised the Sensimat during a mandatory project for their MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada. Sensimat is a device that helps manage and assess pressure among wheelchair users.
