OJJDP FY 2010 Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force National Training Program
110?401, 42 USC 17601, et seq.)(the PROTECT Act). The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and juvenile victimization. OJJDP supports states and communities in their efforts to develop and implement effective and coordinated prevention and intervention programs and to improve the juvenile and criminal justice systems so that they protect public safety, hold offenders accountable, and provide treatment and rehabilitative services tailored to the needs of juveniles and their families. Through this program, OJJDP seeks to identify training providers to serve the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program. The state and regional ICAC task forces work collaboratively as a national network of law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies that prevent, interdict, and investigate technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and Internet crimes against children. The OJJDP FY 2010 ICAC Task Force Training Program furthers the Department?s mission to provide training and support in this area of constantly-evolving technology.
