The Santa Monica Mountains Fund and the National Park Service will coordinate the Artist in Residence Program in the Santa Monica Mountains.
The primary purpose of the project is to support the Governmentâ¿¿s goal to provide outreach and opportunities for youth to learn about the environment
by spending time working on projects, and building a sense of stewardship in National Parks.
The park has been partnering with youth-serving non-profits in urban L.A.
for many years.
The Santa Monica Mountains Fund and the NPS will coordinate and manage the program collaboratively so that each Artist in Residence will work with a group of youth using various artistic mediums.
