Museum Collection Relocation

Personnel from SFMNPA and NPS will collaborate to perform a variety of museum collections management functions including but not limited to moving, rehousing, tracking, relocating, documentation, cataloging, and de-accessioning of museum collection items in collection storage that will be affected by

a large-scale project to install a new compact shelving storage system for the parkâ¿¿s museum collections.

In 2016, the park received initial funding for this five (5) year project.

The project is a perfect collaboration between the park and SFMNPA as SFMNPA has been assisting the Park in the preservation of the collections for decades.

This Task Agreement is to fund staff and supplies to work alongside Park museum management staff and professional museum curators to carry-out the technical work of this multifaceted project.
