Sacramento River Small Screen Diversion

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a funding modification to a cooperative agreement with Family Water Alliance under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 1 5. 512 Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Title XXXIV, P.L.

102-575 Central Valley

Project Improvement Act, Sec.

3406 (b)(21) Fish, Wildlife and Habitat Restoration.

Estimated total amount of the agreement is $$4,038,425 with Reclamation providing $179,101 in Fiscal Year 201 6. This project involves the installation of small diversion fish screens on various diversions on the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers.

The goal is to benefit threatened and endangered anadromous fish species by screening multiple sites that do not currently fit into the scope of work for the current Sacramento Valley/Delta Fish Screen Program (Family Water Alliance, Phase 7) grant.

Screening the multiple sites is complimentary to current efforts to restore the salmon populations in the California Central Valley and the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta.

The principle objectives of this project are:
Small Diversion Fish Screens.

(Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No.

A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance agreement based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2. 14 (B)(2) & (4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
