Additional Information of Eligibility:OWH expects that successful applicants will meet all of the following criteria: Have an existing HIV/AIDS/STD health or social service focus with an established history of community involvement/acceptance; Have a demonstrated history of building relationships between churches and health related or social service organizations; Have a demonstrated capacity to reach multiple faith-based organizations and institutions (e.g., churches, coalitions and denomination specific affiliates, etc.) Target geographical areas which contain one or more of the following: o A high HIV and/or STD prevalence among women and girls.
o A deficit of HIV/AIDS/STD services.
o Disproportionately impacted by health disparities.
Must be able to show evidence to support partnerships with multiple faith-based organizations or institutions.
Eligible entities include the following organizations: faith-based organizations (with or without 501(c)(3) status), community-based organizations (with 501(c)(3) status), and tribal government and tribal/urban Indian entities and organizations.
