The Bureau of Reclamation, within the Department of the Interior has announced funding in the amount of $92,050 to support the Mendota Dam Sluice Gates Replacement Project.

The objectives of the project are to achieve the following:

(1) improve flow control capabilities through the structure for the SJRRP?s Interim and Restoration Flows,

(2) improve and increase precision of the operation of the dam with Interim and Restoration Flows,

(3) increase the measure of safety to pass flows through the dam for Interim and Restoration Flows, and

(4) decrease the amount of manual operations at the dam necessary to pass the Interim and Restoration Flows.
