The National Park Service, within the Department of the Interior has announced funding to support the Minnesota Legislative coordinating Commission project to fabricate and install wayfinding signs, install in-town information including map/kiosk, and implement an electronic media initiative to engage Mississippi River Trail riders.

The Mississippi River Trail route in Minnesota has been designated as the state’s first U.S. Bike Route.

The Mississippi River Trail is a world-class bicycle trail that will follow the Mississippi River all the way from its headwaters in Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico.
