Hawaii Community Loan Fund (HCLF) provides microloans, business loans and community development related loans to non-profits across Hawaii, focusing on low-income areas and Native Hawaiians.

CDFI Awards for Hawaii Community Loan Fund


CORE (2001) - $1,000,000

The CDFI Fund"s $500,000 grant and $500,000 loan will assist HCLF to expand its existing services to more communities and launch lending for community facilities and commercial real estate projects.



SECA (1998) - $50,000

The HCLF is being awarded a $50,000 Technical Assistance grant that will be used to improve the effectiveness of this start-up operation. Specifically, the grant will be used to provide staff training in community development lending; acquire computer and peripheral hardware, and accounting and loan software; and obtain professional consulting services in the areas of strategic planning, loan policy and procedures, evaluation and monitoring of loan training program, and software consultation.
