Kunia Federal Credit Union is a credit union in operation since 1942. Kunia is a certified CDFI that provides consumer financial services in the area of Waipahu, Oahu in Hawaii. Kunia will use its FY09 Technical Assistance award to: 1) procure a marketing consultant to develop a marketing plan; 2) hire a marketing and outreach coordinator; 3) translate marketing and financial education materials into the Filipino language; and 4) purchase real estate mortgage loan software that will enable the credit union to make home rehabilitation loans.
