Gulfport MSCDFI Awards for MS Gulf Coast Renaissance Corporation

The MS Gulf Coast Renaissance Corporation, a 501(C)3 corporation, is an emerging CDFI established in 2007 to serve the low and moderate income populations of counties along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Awardee plans to offer technical assistance in conjunction with direct loans to homeowners and nonprofit developers in response to devastation created by Hurricane Katrina. The MS Gulf Coast Renaissance Corporation will use its FY08 Technical Assistance grant to: 1) obtain consulting services to design two new loan products and related lending policies and procedures; 2) pay for staff personnel salary and fringe benefits; and 3) purchase computers and loan management software.
