Montana Homeownership Network (MHN) is a start-up CDFI incorporated in 2001 to serve low-income families and residents of distressed communities throughout the state of Montana. MHN provides homeownership counseling and a€œbrokersa€ a number of first and second mortgage programs from its parent (Neighborhood Housing Services of Great Falls).

FA (2009) - $600,000

Montana HomeOwnership Network (MHN) is a nonprofit loan fund in operation since 1999. MHN became a certified CDFI in January 2008 and provides loan products for homeownership, housing counseling services, and development services through a network of 27 partners throughout the state of Montana. MHN will use its FY09 Financial Assistance award as lending capital to serve low-income residents throughout the state.



TA (2007) - $64,875

Montana HomeOwnership Network (MHN) is an emerging CDFI established in 2001. MHN provides homeownership loans and developmental services to a low income targeted population in Montana. MHN will use its FY07 Technical Assistance award to: 1) obtain consulting services to evaluate new products and staffing needs; develop a capitalization strategy, and conduct a market analysis in assigned counties and 2) purchase presentation materials.



TA (2005) - $50,000

The 2005 TA award of $50,000 will help the Awardee transfer a portfolio of existing loans from its parent and establish its own second mortgage program (downpayment and closing cost subordinate loans and related services). MHN will also use the award to develop comprehensive data collection and reporting systems.
