MAY Coalition, a cert ified CDFI, is a nonprofit entity that provides financing and technical assistance to small businesses in Mitchell, Avery and Yancey counties in rural North Carolina. Founded in 1992, May Coalition has a primary mission to create high quality employment opportunities for unemployed and underemployed residents of the tri-county area through the provision of financial and technical assistance products and services to small businesses.
