The Harvest Initiative, Inc. is a sponsoring entity established in 2008 to help create a Native CDFI on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation. The Harvest Initiative, Inc. will establish a Native CDFI to provide loan products and financial literacy to enrolled members of the Crow Creek Sioux tribe in South Dakota. The Harvest Initiative, Inc. will use its FY 2009 Technical Assistance award to: 1) pay for staff salaries that directly support the development of the Native CDFI; 2) engage a professional services provider; 3) attend trainings to further the institutional capacity of the Native CDFI; and 4) purchase the technological support necessary to efficiently operate the future CDFI.
