A Social Entrepreneur Explores Africa's Future

An article focuses on a lecture given by Dr. Wendy Luhabe of South Africa at North-West University. Dr. Luhabe is an entrepreneur who focuses on the empowerment of women. The lecture is discussing the future potential of Africa economically. In 2035 the population of Africa will be over 1 billion people with an average of 19.5 year but also a high level of poverty.

Dr. Luhabe proposes that education is the key to assisting the people of Africa. She expresses a desire for the quality of educational institutions in Africa to improve. Along with the higher quality education she proposes more incentives for young people in Africa to study the sciences, technology and math. She believes that it is the responsibility of educational institutions to shape economies of the future.
