Dalal Al'Waheidi, Executive director of WE Charity, shares how Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children in the Gaza Strip has driven Al'Waheidi, a Palestinian refugee herself, and her team to reach out to Canada's youth.

According to Al'Waheidi, young people are eager to support social causes. The newly launched WE Social Entrepreneurship Centre (WE SEC) works with the WE Schools, a network of more than 7,000 Canadian elementary and high schools, the centre and its initiatives to help inspire a national movement of young entrepreneurs and give them the business and social good skills they need.

Programming will begin with WE Incubate, which will build on the current business ecosystem to allow more scalable and successful social enterprises.

By 2020, the goal is to provide this programming to at least 3,000 young social entrepreneurs across Canada, especially those coming from vulnerable populations. Within that period, WE aims to help scale 30 self-sustaining social enterprises.
