USAID/Liberia expects to award a five-year (60 month) $11,800,000 cooperative agreement for this activity.

The illustrative activities and results in this NOFO are meant to be examples only, and USAID encourages applications that propose activities and interventions that are both innovative and

appropriate to the Liberian context.This activity is expected to achieve the following objectives:
1. Capacity of media to produce reliable, relevant and accurate information enhanced 2. Media’s ability to serve as a conduit for information between citizens and government enhanced 3. Organizational and financial sustainability of community radio stations improved 4. Enabling environment for freer media strengthened

Only previously awarded lead agencies under the Securing the Cities grant number 16DNSTC00001 are eligible to apply.

The City of Chicago Fire Department and the city of Houston were originally selected for funding in FY15 under NOFO DHS-15-DNDO-106-001.

The City of Houston is already covered under a sustainment cooperative agreement.

Therefore, the City of Chicago Fire Department is the only entity eligible to apply for the sustainment funding for the STC Program under this announcement.
