Indian Ditch Pre-Construction Work and Diversion Gate

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a grant agreement to Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 1 5. 519, Public Law 108-7, Division D, Energy and Water Development Appropriations, 2003, Title II Section 20 1. Estimated total

amount of agreement is $496,03 1. 0 0. Reclamation is providing $496,03 1. 00 in Fiscal Year 201 6. Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe will conduct active measures to protect water resources by decreasing irrigation diversions from the Truckee River to the Indian Ditch through infrastructure improvement, which provides water to agricultural lands on the Pyramid Lake reservation.

The project objectives will:
Reduce seepage by removing the large tree stumps and roots from the Indian Ditch System along the canals and prepare for new lining, Reduce diversion and seepage from Truckee River by patching the canal concrete and Replace leaking gate, valve and corroded return pipe by slip-lining two pipes in the steepest area of the diversion.
